About iZambeziFest
Leadership With Purpose
iZambeziFest is built on the belief that true leadership is not about visibility, but about longevity. It is not about placing names at the front, but about creating something meaningful that can stand on its own, long after the founders have stepped aside.
The festival is operated by Walsona Group Ltd (Company Registration No. 11547885), but the spirit of iZambeziFest is deliberately larger than any single company or individual. Our strength comes from the idea itself, not from personalities. For that reason, we choose to lead from behind the scenes, allowing the movement, the culture, and the community to speak louder than those who manage it.
Our leadership is shaped by the shared history of a region that was once deeply connected, before borders and labels created separation. We are inspired by restoring that sense of unity, bringing together Zimbabweans, Zambians, South Africans, Batswana, Namibians, Mozambicans, and the wider Southern African diaspora to celebrate under one roof.
Our approach to leadership is guided by three core principles.
Authenticity
Everything we create must feel real. Real culture, real experiences, and real people. iZambeziFest is rooted in cultural pride and lived experience, not borrowed concepts or copied trends.
Vision
Our long-term vision is to integrate Southern African cultures in the UK through music, fashion, food, and community. This is not just a one-day event. It is the foundation of a modern Southern African cultural movement with a global outlook.
Responsibility
We take responsibility for the environments we create. Every attendee, artist, contractor, volunteer, and partner should feel respected, safe, and valued. Our leadership is about enabling talent to shine, businesses to grow, and people to connect with dignity and trust.
We do not seek recognition.
We seek impact.
And if iZambeziFest becomes a legacy in the years to come, that legacy will belong to the entire Southern African community, not to one organisation and not to one individual.
